Penina Golf Resort

The grandfather of all the Algarve golf courses was built in 1966 and set in a landscaped 360-acre estate with 18 holes. It is also home to a hotel retaining a historic sense of bygone eras with elegant dining in the beautiful gardens.

Onyria Palmares

Built to enjoy the most impressive sea views over the bay of Lagos and Meia Praia, the current course has 27 holes and was built by US golf course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. It has a new hotel and restaurant built to make the most of these views.

Boavista Golf Resort

This resort of villas, townhouses and apartments is built around the fantastic leisure facilities it offers, including an 18-hole golf course, spa and fitness centre, providing activities for the whole family. It is also only a short drive to Lagos or Praia da Luz.

Espiche Golf

The most recent course built in the western Algarve, this 18-hole estate was designed with sustainability in mind, supporting the indigenous flora and fauna, it also has an award-winning clubhouse and restaurant at its centre.

Parque da Floresta Resort

Perhaps the grandest course in the west, this course of 18 holes was carved out of a large valley and from the highest point it has views to the sea. It is a large but peaceful resort, with villas and townhouses arranged on the crest of the hills surrounding the course. Apart from golf there are an array of other leisure activities here.
